I am so pleased with the work on my pond by DC Ponds! I have to confess that I’ve neglected cleaning the pond for probably 10 years. As a result, the bottom was full of thick black muck, the sides were coated with a heavy layer of algae, and the aquatic plants were ridiculously overgrown. Kristen and Tara showed up and went straight to work draining the pond, safely setting the fish aside. They power sprayed all of the algae off the sides and didn’t stop working until all of the muck was gone from the bottom. They removed so much sludge that they exposed a beautiful stacked stone wall on the back of the pond that I didn’t even know was there! The pond is now clean with crystal clear water and nicely “pruned” aquatic plants. I will definitely be using DC Ponds next year.

Kristen and Tara are the real thing!!! They cleaned our pond, which had not been cleaned in some time and they did a fantastic job! They were very detailed, very helpful, and would we would recommend them highly. Well done ladies!!!

Tara and Kristen were excellent and we would highly recommend DC Ponds. The new home we bought had an established koi pond, so we definitely needed professionals to do our first spring cleaning. They were extremely dedicated in not only doing a very thorough cleaning (completely drained the pond, gently and safely moving four 20+ yr old koi and ~25 smaller fish out and back, trimmed some water plants), but they also recommended some changes we could make to reduce the overall complexity of maintenance and improve water flow. The improvements have been really valuable in making us feel more confident in managing a healthy pond. These ladies will be our first choice in all future pond care needs!
